Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Provide efficient and friendly service and have the responsibility of ensuring our passengers, crew and luggage are transported safely between the terminal and aircraft

  • Responsible for operating vehicles in various weather and visibility conditions

  • Buses are driven in areas congested with aircraft, as well as moving and stationary vehicles and equipment

  • Vehicles may have a gross weight of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs


Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18

  • Must be able to perform all duties under sometimes stressful conditions beyond the employee's control while attempting to influence a favorable impression of American Eagle, American Airlines or any other contracted airline service provided by Envoy

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Valid state driver’s license with commercial certification (CDL)

  • Other license endorsements may be required in some states

  • Current Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) medical certificate is required where applicable

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off

  • Flexible to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary

  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States

  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language

  • One year of previous customer service experience preferred

  • Previous working experience transporting passengers preferred

  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand Spanish (in some locations) preferred
