Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • The Airman Trainee will report to the Director of Flying and Chief Pilot and be employed with Air Wisconsin as a part-time employee that is actively working towards their goal of becoming a Commercial Airline Pilot within the Airline Industry.

  • The Airman Trainee will be committed to qualifying for a Restricted ATP License while actively participating in Air Wisconsin mandated events with the opportunity of entering into the Air Wisconsin CTP Training Course.

  • Between the 1st and 15th of each month, must complete and update Air Wisconsin’s online Pilot Hours Calculator. After completing the Hours Calculator with the most recent flight hours, and before the end of the second week in the month, the Airman Trainee must make phone contact with an Air Wisconsin designated representative to discuss the completed calculator results.

  • Between the 15th and 25th of each month, participate in an Air Wisconsin distance learning module.


Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age and not over 65 years of age

  • Must possess a Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating

  • Must have a First Class Medical dated within the last 12 months

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US

  • Must be able to ready, speak, and understand English

  • Must have 500 hours unless from a partner school or university

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • May not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the previous 10 years

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to complete and pass a background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting

Air Wisconsin Flight Attendants also pride themselves on providing world class customer service ensuring our passengers the best flying experience possible. Our crew bases are located in Chicago - O'Hare, Milwaukee, WI - General Mitchell International Airport, Columbia, SC - Columbia Metropolitan Airport, and Dulles International Airport in Washington DC. Flexibility is required as locations for newly hired Flight Attendants are not guaranteed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Perform a variety of services conducive to the safety & comfort of passengers aboard our aircraft.

  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring a welcoming environment to passengers and professionally addressing customer requests.

  • Market and sell products during flights.

  • Follow established guidelines to provide for the safety of passengers and handle inflight emergencies and security in accordance with standard emergency procedures and practices.

  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, squat, twist & turn and must be able to push, pull & lift up to 45 lbs.

  • Applicants must be able to read, write, understand and converse proficiently in English, the common language used among Flight, Maintenance & Cabin Crews.

  • Ability to attend and pass a three week, unpaid training class.

  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, days, weekends and holidays.

Job Description

Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin Airlines operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States as well as into Canada. Air Wisconsin's team is made up of around 1,500 members dedicated to making our travelers’ experiences safe and pleasant. With service to approximately 70 cities throughout North America, we carry an estimated 6 million passengers a year.

Fleet Type CRJ-200 Current Domiciles - Chicago, IL- ORD, Columbia - CAE, and Washington Dulles- IAD. Training Indoctrination is held at Air Wisconsin’s corporate headquarters in Appleton, WI. We do not require a training contract or pay for training program. Lodging and transportation are provided along with 2.5 block hours of pay.

Benfits and Offers

First Officer starting pay at $36.06/hour as well as sign-on bonuses up to $57,000, which is among the highest in the industry! Per diem is at $1.75/hour.

Air Wisconsin pilots are offered a benefits package including: Medical/dental insurance; life insurance; short/long-term disability; flexible spending accounts; paid vacation/sick time; 401(k) with 4% company match and a company contribution of 3% of compensation; uniform, headset and medical exam allowances; world-wide travel and jump seat privileges; minimum of 12 days off/month; 75 hour pay guarantee and competitive duty and trip rigs.

  • Valid United States Driver's License

  • Graduation from accredited, four-year College preferred

  • Recency of experience will be considered
