We will be conducting a recruitment exercise for Flight Stewardesses/Stewards in Singapore. If you meet the following requirements, we will be pleased to meet you at our walk-in interview.


Requirements

*Singapore citizen
* Minimum age of 18 years old
* Females who are at least 1.58m; males who are at least 1.65m in height
*Completed, are exempted from, or are not liable for National Service. Those in the process of completing NS (ORD before November 2020) may also apply.
*Degree/Diploma (those who are graduating before November 2020 may also apply if they have any of the two educational qualifications below.)
OR
*At least 2 GCE 'A'-level  (H2 level) credits and 2 'AO'-level (H1 level) credits including General Paper in the GCE 'A'-level examination
OR
*At least 5 GCE 'O'-level credits including English and working experience

Training

Our comprehensive 4 months training program will cover topics such as:
* Product Knowledge including Food & Beverage
* Service Procedures
* Passenger Handling
* Deportment & Grooming
* Language & Communication Skills
* Safety Equipment Procedures
* First Aid
On successful completion of training you will commence flying duties.

Remuneration & Service Benefits

You will be paid a basic salary during training. Upon graduation, you can look forward to a basic salary and various allowances amounting to about SGD$4,500 - 5000  a month. In addition, there is an annual wage supplement of one month’s basic salary and profit-sharing bonus. You will also be entitled to free travel to any SIA destination once a year and enjoy discounted travel at other times.

Job Description


1- Assist the commander in the maintenance of proper standard of professional expertise, crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance of all flight crew personnel
2- Inform and educate passengers on emergency and safety procedures to ensure passenger safety during all phases of the flight
3- Follow the procedures outlined in the safety manuals during any emergency to ensure safety of all personnel
4- Perform all duties assigned by the Senior Officer - Cabin Crew related to cabin safety and daily operations to ensure adherence to regulations outlined in the operations manual
5- Provide safe and efficient in-flight service to passengers on board
6- Responsible for ensuring safety on board by ensuring all passengers are wearing seat belts, all window covers are open, all doors locked and all seats are upright
7- Responsible for providing first aid support to passengers on board during emergency situations
8- Conduct necessary checks before flight to ensure cleanliness of cabin and passenger toilets, all catering ordered is loaded in satisfactory condition, no heavy objects are placed in the overhead bins and all escape exists are unobstructed and clearly visible to passengers
9- Brief passengers in Arabic and English prior to flight including all requisite information outlined in the operations manual to compliance to regulations
10- Attend to special attention passengers as directed by Senior Officer - Cabin Crew and ensure all passengers comply with the restrictions on smoking and use of seat belts and other safety precautions during flight

Educational Qualifications
Candidate must be: Age: 21- 31 Females Height: Minimum 157cm, weight in proportion Males Height: Minimum 165 cm, weight in proportion . Our minimum requirements

  • must be aged 18 or over
  • Must be between 5’2” (1.58m) and 6’3” height without shoes
  • Physically fit and able to pass a medical examination  (please see below)
  • Must fit into the crew seat harness without modification
  • Confident swimmer, able to swim 25 metres unaided
  • A minimum of 6 months customer service experience
  • Must be able to live and work in the UK without restriction
  • Holder of a full UK/EEA passport that permits unrestricted travel worldwide
  • Have a good standard of education and are able to provide a continuous satisfactory 5 year referencing history
  • You must be fully flexible – we operate flights 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you must be willing to work on any day of the year or at any time of day and be willing to accept roster changes at short notice
  • You must live within 90 minutes travelling distance of your place of work
  • Have no visible tattoos or piercings that cannot be covered discreetly (we do provide long sleeved blouses and shirts)
  • If you have been or are Cabin Crew with an European airline you will be required to provide us with your Attestation of Initial Training (please see below for more information)

Important things to consider before applying

Medical Assessment
All successful candidates that are offered a Cabin Crew position with Thomas Cook Airlines are required, before they join the Company, to undergo and pass an EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Aero Medical assessment. This will be at the candidate’s own expense and can cost in excess of £100. All candidates that are offered a position will be given further information on how to obtain this at the time.

Cabin Crew Attestation of Initial Training
If your application is successful and you are offered a Cabin Crew position with Thomas Cook Airlines - to enable you to fly as Cabin Crew for a European airline you will be issued with an Attestation of Initial Training.

All candidates that have worked previously as Cabin Crew for a European airline will be required to produce a photocopy of their attestation of initial training at the assessment event. Failure to produce this may result in Thomas Cook Airlines being unable to offer you a Cabin Crew position.

References & Criminal Record Checks
To obtain an security ID pass you will be required to provide us with a reference history to cover your whereabouts for the last five years with no gaps in employment or education in excess of 28 days. With this in mind – if you are invited to an assessment event then please bring this information with you. References should cover both employment and, if applicable, education. You should also bring details of two personal referees to cover any gaps in employment or education. The personal referee cannot be a relative or someone that lives at the same address as you.

You will also be required to obtain a UK criminal record check (CRC) which must be clear. If you have lived or have travelled outside of the UK for a period of 6 months or more then you will also need to provide us with a CRC from that country or countries in order for us to offer you a cabin crew position. It is your responsibility to obtain (and if necessary pay for) this document or documents.

The minimum AirAsia Cadet Pilot selections requirements for the selection of a Cadet Pilot are as follows:

  • Malaysian citizenship or permanent residency age over 17 years;
  • Aged over 17 years at the time of application with the maximum age of 28;
  • A DCA class 1 Medical Certificate must be obtained.
  1. And, possess one of the following academic qualifications
    1. Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Malaysian Certificate of Education or equivalent (recognized by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia) pre-requisites:
      • A grade of any “A” in English;
      • A grade of any “A” in Mathematics;
      • A grade of any “B” in Physics or any “A” in General Science;
      • A grade of any “B” in any other two subjects; A Pass in Bahasa Malaysia and
      • Minimum of 5 SPM subjects.
        OR
    2. Diploma or Degree pre-requisites:
      • Engineering/Science related discipline;
      • GPA 3.0 and above; and
      • SPM with a grade of “C” in any subjects, of which must include Mathematics, Science, and English and A pass in Bahasa Malaysia.
  1. Distant visual acuity with or without visual correction shall be 6/9 or better in each eye separately, and binocular visual acuity shall be 6/6 or better. Refractive error of not more than 5dioptres. Final approval subject to Medical Doctor/Ophthalmologist Report.
  2. Minimum height of 163 cm (5ft 3in) and
  3. Be prepared to sign a training bond with surety.
  4. For Air Asia Staff, must have served min of 2 years in their respective Department and obtained HOD approval. Age must not be more than 33 at the time of application. Be prepared to sign a training bond with surety.
