Job Description

Customer Service/Ground Operations Agent

This position is responsible for providing customer service to all customers, including scheduled or charter services. Customer Service agents must be attentive to the customer's needs, politely handling their inquiries promptly, and completing the required transactions per company policy and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • The ideal candidate must be people oriented, highly motivated with a positive and friendly attitude.​​​​

  • Process tickets, check baggage, monitor carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assign seats.​​​​

  • Provide information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seat assignments.​​​​

  • Handle denied boarding situations, solicit volunteers, re-accommodate customers and provide hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate Ensure compliance with FAA, Allegiant Air and airport regulations.​​​​

  • Enforce safety/security measures and monitor sensitive safety zones.​​​​

  • Assist Customers with special needs, i.e., Customers who need assistance in boarding Ad hoc assignments as requested by the Lead or Supervisor Complete required reports Meets arriving flights at baggage carousel to ensure proper handling of bags.​​​​

  • Monitors baggage carousel for unclaimed baggage.​​​​

  • Stores unclaimed bags in Baggage Service Office until claimed or turned over to System Baggage Services.​​​​

  • Handles delayed baggage issues, ensuring a written report is completed and follows up with customers until the bag is located, or the file is sent to Systems Baggage Services.​​​​

  • Inform customers of Allegiant Air policies and procedures, re: lost, damaged, or replacement baggage and pilferage claims.​​​​

  • Provides consequential expenses to applicable customers when there is a delayed bag.​​​​

  • Ensure delivery of baggage to the affected customer for late arriving or miss-loaded bags.​​​​

  • Follow-up with customers regarding lost baggage, replacement of damaged bags, car seats, strollers, etc.​​​​

  • Trace loaner wheelchairs, car seats, etc.​​​​

  • Track replaced, damaged, and miss-loaded baggage Assists with lost and found articles.​​​​

  • Other duties as assigned.​​​​


Job Requirements

  • Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.​​​​

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED​​​​

  • Years of Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience Customer Service experience.​​​​

  • No visa sponsorship is available for this position​​​​

  • Preferred Requirements

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.​​​​

  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.​​​​

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours during irregular operations.​​​​

  • Must be well groomed and adhere to the dress code policy.​​​​

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.​​​​

  • Able to attend required training.​​​​

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use general office equipment.​​​​

  • TRAINEE STATUS: Upon offer of employment, you will remain in trainee status until successful completion of all practical and written curriculum is completed.​​​​

Job Description

Ensures the safety and comfort of passengers in accordance with FAA and Inflight guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Performs all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with constant attention to guests while providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience.

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and the use of all emergency equipment on board the aircraft; operates all emergency exits and aircraft equipment using all the necessary movements and force up to and including 70 pounds.

  • Provides food and beverages to passengers, which requires pushing and pulling moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.

  • Assists passengers in stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to and including 35 pounds.

  • Maintains a neat and orderly cabin environment.

  • Contributes to a reliable and on-time operation by working with other crewmembers to meet all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times.

  • Performs inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.

  • Assists other Customer Service staff as needed with passenger handling or other duties.

  • Maintains reliable and prompt attendance according to Company policies and procedures.

  • Presents a professional image, both in conduct and in appearance, including adherence to the Company uniform dress code.

  • Complies with associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in all applicable manuals.

  • Maintains currency of Inflight guides and manuals.

Job Requirements

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of customer service experience.

  • Must be 21 years of age by the date of the first interview.

  • PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Additional years of customer service experience, preferably in an aviation environment.

  • Previous Flight Attendant experience.

  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.

  • Must be willing and able to serve alcoholic beverages.

  • Must be able and willing to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef and pork.

  • Able to work with animals and around other allergens and products.

  • Must not have tattoos visible while in uniform.

  • Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.

  • Able to effectively present information to and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers and the general public.

  • Able to speak and be understood in English, including shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.

  • REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

  • Must be willing to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively handle stress that is associated with meeting deadlines and managing unexpected change.

  • Capable of interpreting a variety of and multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Must be able to remain calm, think and react quickly in all types of emergency situations including but not limited to: medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, turbulence, etc.
