Location: You will be required to fly from London Heathrow and London Gatwick
Salary: Basic salary of £13,065 pro rated; trip pay, plus on board commission

Day to day

Working in our Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class cabins alongside people who share your passion and professionalism, your shining service and attention to detail will bring our brand to life - from take-off to landing. You’ll take a cool, calm and collected approach, and go out of your way to ensure a smooth, safe and enjoyable journey for all. What’s more, your resilience to deal with the demands of a long-haul lifestyle and instinctive feel for Virgin Atlantic service will make every flight something to write home about.
You will be required to complete a five to six week intensive training course which will involve you finishing approx. 30 hours of e-learning, before you start. This will give you all of the skills and knowledge that you will need to successfully complete your role as Cabin Crew.
After graduating from your wings ceremony, you will be ready to take your smile sky high, putting all your fantastic training into practice.

About you

All of our cabin crew are responsible for the safety of our customers and your colleagues. With this in mind, we are looking for candidates with the below requirements in order to meet the needs of this role.
You need to be a minimum of 18 years of age 
Have an arm reach of 210cm. (This will be checked at interview stage) 
Be able to brace with your feet flat on the floor whilst sitting in our jump seat which is 45cm off the floor. (This will be checked at interview stage without shoes) 
Have no live criminal convictions or cases pending, including drink driving convictions 
You must have a minimum of three GCSE or equivalent level passes 
Be fluent in both written and spoken English 
Have the right to live and work in the UK 
A confident swimmer. You will need to demonstrate that you can swim 25 metres unaided and tread water whilst putting on and manually inflating a life jacket. This will be tested during training 
Committed to undertaking a rigorous five to six-week training programme. 
Minimum of one year continuous face to face customer service experience

Additional Information
You will need to be prepared to be fully dedicated to the role of Cabin Crew as you will be required to be away from home on weekends, bank holidays, and over festive/holiday periods etc. The demands of the role may often interrupt your social life.

Be responsible for cash handling and exceeding sales targets.
Works effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines to maintain an efficient high standard of safety and customer service
To Maintain a high standard of conduct and appearance promoting the company image/brand at all times and maintaining high on board standards

Job Requirements

Knowledge:
An interest and understanding of the airline industry and role of cabin crew.
Skills:
Good standard of secondary education
High standard of physical fitness
Experience/Education:
Previous flying experience would be beneficial, although not essential
Experience dealing with the general public in the leisure/tourism industry or a retail, catering or airport environment would be considered beneficial although not essential.

Other Compulsory Requirements
Minimum age 18
Height 157.5 cm - 187cm
Living within 90 minutes of the airport
Holder of a full EU passport (with unrestricted World-Wide travel)
Capable of swimming 25 metres and treading water for one minute unaided.
No tattoos, body piercings, ear/face gauging or tooth gems (other than ear piercings) should be visible in uniform.  
Company standards deem that any tattoos should not be visible in uniform (which includes a short sleeved shirt or blouse). This includes where it can be seen under items of clothing, e.g. shirts, blouses, hosiery. If tattoos are visible through the uniform, a white or flesh cotton t-shirt or camisole top must be worn under the uniform, alternatively, tattoo make-up can be applied or one skin coloured plaster measuring no more than 7cm x 2cm to meet our grooming standards can be used. However, any tattoos that are located on hands, wrists, forearm, face, neck (forward of ear-line) even if it can be covered by a plaster or tattoo make up are not permitted.
Any face or ear gauging (stretched ear lobes) is not permitted.
