Job Description

The CTO agent is responsible for booking and modifying customer travel, addressing customer questions, solving unanticipated travel-related issues, offering support for web, partner airlines and other booking channels, and providing information about Cape Air. The position entails primarily assisting customers over the phone, but also includes serving occasional walk-in clientele. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform assigned duties in a professional and courteous manner are required.


Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • Possess the ability to work independently, remotely, and as a member of our larger call center team

  • Continuously and efficiently respond to customer’s telephone calls managing customer travel and solving travel-related issues

  • Continue to gain knowledge to supplement initial training through real-time, on the job experiences

  • Use available resources to provide callers information about our services and support customers’ needs which may involve knowledge about other areas of the company

  • Utilize computer technology to create and manage customer travel on Cape Air and our partner airlines

  • Engage in conversation with customers while seeking out information (i.e. multi-task)

  • Resolve general customer service concerns

  • Engage in active listening and effective communication

  • Greet in-person customers with professionalism and courteousness

  • Maintain professional appearance and cleanliness of office by performing regular light housekeeping duties

  • Additional duties as assigned


Job Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Ability to type 25 words per minute

  • Ability to use Windows based computer software

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new and changing computer technology

  • Ability to send and receive email correspondence

  • Flexibility of schedule and ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays

  • Business casual dress

Job Description

This position requires the ability to work around aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

  • The safe boarding of customers and luggage onto aircraft and monitoring movements of planes while on the ground

  • Communicating with pilots, operations and ticket agents in a clear and concise manner

  • Communicating with TSA and the local LEO concerning the security of flights and passengers

  • Loading and off loading of passengers in a safe and courteous way

  • Accurate and clear marshalling of aircraft with good hand signals

  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and handling of hazardous materials

  • Accurate communication via radio to all pilots, operations and fellow employees

  • Knowledge of SIDA areas and ability to challenge unknown persons

  • Knowledge of firearm procedures

  • Maintaining customer relations

  • Safe operation of ground equipment

  • Ability to carry out de-ice procedures

  • Accurate addition of baggage weight

  • Drive the passenger shuttle bus, if applicable to station


Job Requirements

  • Airline work experience preferred

  • Airline reservation system experience preferred

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent

  • If location requires any type of driving such as baggage delivery, fueling, etc., applicant must hold and maintain a driver’s license valid in that location

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

  • Basic computer skills required

  • Excellent communication and excellent customer service skills required

  • Ability to interact effectively with others

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

  • Flexibility of schedule is a must

  • This position will often require working nights, weekends and holidays
