VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT – THE ASEAN SECRETARIAT

Established in 1967, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
Secretariat is the nerve centre of ASEAN, a regional inter-governmental
organisation, to promote peace and stability, sustained economic growth,
shared prosperity and social progress. It comprises the ten countries of
Southeast Asia.

With the ratification of the ASEAN Charter in December 2008, the ASEAN
Secretariat (ASEC) had embarked on an organization restructuring that is
aligned to the requirements of the Charter and their respective Community
Blueprints, namely: the ASEAN Political and Security Community (APSC), the
ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), and the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community
(ASCC).

Currently the ASEAN Secretariat Jakarta has immediate vacancies and invites
applications from the eligible candidates:

1. ASEAN Nationals, to apply for the following positions:

* Director – Socio-Cultural Cooperation
* Assistant Director – Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, Civil
Society Engagement and Interaction with ASEAN Associated Entities
* Senior Officer – External Economic Relations
2. Indonesian citizens and ASEAN Nationals with permanent resident
status in Indonesia, to apply for the following positions:

* Technical Officer – Security Cooperation
* Technical Officer – Political Cooperation
* Technical Officer – Finance Integration
* Technical Officer – Enterprise Development
* Technical Assistant – Labor & Migrant Workers
* Technical Assistant – Tourism & Transport
* Technical Assistant – Protocol & Conference Services
* Technical Assistant – Macroeconomic & Finance Surveillance Office
* Technical Assistant – AIPA, ASEAN Foundation & AICHR
